Anti-Settlement Cast Iron Gratings

Kerb-line and channel gratings on height-adjustable frames — set once to the binder course, re-levelled to the finished surface after rolling.

【Adjustable [±25] mm】【C250 / D400】【Length to [1,000] mm】 【GJS-500-7】

Why It Matters

The Kerb Line Is Where Gratings Fail First

A kerb-line grating sits in the zone where the roller cannot compact properly. The channel is usually the lowest point, so water and grit collect there, and any lip becomes a puddle. Within a season the frame is either standing proud of the asphalt or sunk below it.

An adjustable frame removes the guesswork: the grating is set to the binder course, asphalt is laid over the edges, and the frame is wound up to the final level after rolling. The result is a grating that is flush on day one and can be re-set after any future overlay.

  • [±25] mm vertical adjustment
  • Continuous frame in [500] mm modules
  • C250 for kerbs, D400 for carriageway edge
  • Hinged leaves for cleaning access

FAQ

Questions on Channel Gratings

1.Can this replace an existing concrete channel?

Yes, if the excavation is opened to the channel body. The frame is anchored to the structure, so it does not rely on the old channel edges.

2.How do I stop the frame filling with grit?

Specify a silt trap basket or a deeper sump at the upstream end, and keep the slot width above 8 mm where grit is heavy. We can supply the grating with a removable basket.

3.Is a heel-safe pattern available?

Yes — slot width below 20 mm in the pedestrian direction, or a perforated pattern. Recommended for plazas and school frontages.nd the channel width

4.We will come back with frame height, class and a loading plan.
