Double & Triple Unit Grating Sets
Wide inlets need more than one grating. A set uses a single outer frame with two or three leaves seated side by side, so a wide opening can still be opened by one person, and any damaged leaf can be replaced without breaking out the frame.

Installation
Fitting a Grating So It Stays Quiet
- Bed the frame on mortar, not on rubble.A frame sitting on loose spoil rocks under traffic and cracks at the corners.
- Keep the frame flush with the channel, not proud of it.A lip of 3–5 mm is enough to catch a snow plough or a bike wheel.
- Match the class to the traffic, not to the price.A B125 grating in a delivery yard will deform within a season.
- Leave the lifting key with the client.Gratings lifted by crowbar chip the edge and ruin the coating.

Grating Questions
1.What is the waterway area, and how do I specify it?
Waterway area is the total open area of the slots, in cm². It decides how much storm water the inlet can take. Tell us the catchment area and rainfall intensity, or simply the flow you need, and we will recommend a pattern.
2.Can the gratings be hinged so they cannot be removed?
Yes. A captive hinge lets the grating lift for cleaning but keeps it attached to the frame — the usual specification where theft or vandalism is a concern.
3.Do you make gratings to a custom length?
Yes — lengths up to [1,000] mm in one piece, or longer runs supplied as multiple units in a continuous frame.
